Kate Winslet cast in Jason Reitman=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s Labor Day

*Jason Reitman’s next film _Labor Day_ has landed two twinkly
A-list stars in the svelte forms of Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.*

Adapted from Joyce Maynard’s novel of the same name, the film
follows a lonely mother who takes in a drifter. She soon discovers,
though, that he's a convicted murderer.

Reitman both wrote the adaptation of the novel and will direct, with
shooting set to kick off in New England next year.

The _Juno_ director is currently finishing up work on _Young Adult_,
which Diablo Cody penned and stars Charlize Theron and Patrick Wilson.

_Labor Day_’s plot sounds more like a quirky dark comedy than a
full-on drama (as is Reitman’s speciality), which should make a
nice change for Winslet, who’s favoured more hard-hitting
material in recent years.
